		INFORMATION
REGARDING LEAD SERVICE LINES IN STONE HARBOR

"In light of recent news articles regarding the State of New Jersey's
inventory of lead service lines, the Borough of Stone Harbor made a
clarification on the number of these lines reported for the Borough. It
was reported that Stone Harbor has 1,800 lead service lines (LSLs).
Unfortunately this number reflects some data that was inaccurately
reported to the NJDEP, which is in the process of being corrected. The
correct number is approximately 600 lines."

		RECORD REVENUE
		SEASON

Cape May County officials are crediting favorable summer weather for a
likely record-breaking revenue season. In a news release, Cape May
County Tourism Director Diane Wieland points to occupancy tax collection
revenue up 8.4 percent from 2018 through July, totaling more than $7
million. The spike in occupancy tax collection indicates a minimal
increase in room rates and a "substantial uptick" in overnight guests,
		according to county officials.

		ZONING ENFORCEMENT

"At a recent meeting of Avalon Borough Council, Assistant Business
Administrator James Waldron briefed council on a new plan to restructure
zoning enforcement. Waldron said that given the number of demolitions
and construction projects annually in the borough, the zoning official
is overloaded with site plan approvals and paperwork. Zoning enforcement
is a burden that borough officials want to shift elsewhere. The plan
calls for enlarging the role of the borough’s code enforcement office by
adding zoning enforcement to its portfolio. This frees the zoning
official from that task and allows for focus on plan review, approvals,
		and paperwork requirements."
