TOWNSEND'S INLET
BRIDGE
"The Cape May County Bridge Commission has announced that upon the opening of the Townsend’s Inlet Bridge July 26-29, there will be no tolls charged for passage from Sea Isle City to Avalon."

CROSSWALK SAFETY
"Stay alert! Pedestrian safety is a shared
responsibility. Motorists must stop and stay stopped for a pedestrian
crossing the roadway within a marked crosswalk or at an intersection.
Pedestrians must obey pedestrian signals and use crosswalks at
signalized intersections. Always cross at corners or within marked
crosswalks where available."

enjoyment. Attending music festivals, outdoor movies or other events

July 27, 2019
Two PHRF divisions race from Townsends Inlet to Cape May Inlet for a
total distance of approximately 13 miles. A third division for Flying
Scots has its own race course offshore of Townsends Inlet. All racing is
within sight of the Avalon beaches providing great opportunities for
spectators.

RECYCLING CHANGES
"Due to limited end markets and increased contamination potential, bulky
mixed rigid plastics and shredded paper have been removed from the
County's 'Recommended' and 'Designated' recyclables list, respectively.
Changes will take effect October 1, 2019."

BUOY WORK
"The Coast Guard is asking the public to exercise
caution while operating boats and watercraft on the Intracoastal
Waterway (ICW) between Toms River and Cape May, while the Coast Guard
removes pylons and replaces them with seasonal buoys starting July 15
through mid-August."
